Des Moines Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 730 South 225th Street, Des Moines, Washington, 98198. Des Moines Historical Society is continually adding to their collections through donations from King County County community members.
Several thousand items are on display at the Des Moines Museum each year. These items tell the story of life in the area before it became a King County county — who lived here and how they made their living; how the King County County was explored and governed; what kinds of crops were grown; how King County communities developed; how irrigation projects brought water to drylands; how telephone lines were erected across rugged terrain in King County County; what types of businesses served residents here over time; how King County people socialized in early communities; what kind of role.
