Northwest African American Museum in King County County is rich in King County heritage, constituting several churches and a collection of artifacts. Northwest African American Museum’s collections include furniture, history DVDs, obituaries, and local history books, preserved and displayed for recreational and educational purposes.

The history of the Northwest African American Museum traces back to the 1920 Gothic Revival Church. The site houses numerous churches arising within the 20th century and are of different denominations.

Apart from the 1920 Gothic church, the Northwest African American Museum includes:

Northwest African American Museum Services

The Northwest African American Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, invest and display the culture and history of King County county. In delivering its mandate, the Northwest African American Museum partners with the public in collecting important artifacts such as pictures and tools.

  • The Northwest African American Museum holds events and fundraisers throughout the year to help raise funds for supporting its operations.
