Cle Elum Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 221 East 1st Street, Cle Elum, Washington, 98922. The Cle Elum Historical Society was formed in 1926, and its mission is to collect, preserve and share historical records, photographs, artifacts, and other materials related to the history of Kittitas County County, Washington.
The Cle Elum Historical Society operates a museum at the historic Cle Elum City Hall building. It also maintains a research library composed primarily of donated books on Cle Elum history. Cle Elum history books are available for sale.

Several thousand items are on display at the Cle Elum Museum each year. These items tell the story of life in the area before it became a Kittitas County county — who lived here and how they made their living; how the Kittitas County County was explored and governed; what kinds of crops were grown; how Kittitas County communities developed; how irrigation projects brought water to drylands; how telephone lines were erected across rugged terrain in Kittitas County County; what types of businesses served residents here over time; how Kittitas County people socialized in early communities; what kind of role.
