The history of the Chewelah Museum traces back to the 1908 Gothic Revival Church. The site houses numerous churches arising within the 20th century and are of different denominations.

Chewelah Museum Services

The Chewelah Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, invest and display the culture and history of Stevens County county. In delivering its mandate, the Chewelah Museum partners with the public in collecting important artifacts such as pictures and tools.

The Chewelah Museum offers the following services to the public:

  • The Chewelah Museum rents the church building for small gatherings. The building has a kitchen, meeting area, a restroom and is ADA-accessible.

  • The Chewelah Museum holds events and fundraisers throughout the year to help raise funds for supporting its operations.
