Yakima Landfill often called the Yakima County County Sanitary Landfill, is a municipal solid waste landfill located in rural Yakima County County, Washington. The Yakima Landfill is owned and operated by Yakima City and accepts Waste from the Yakima city and surrounding Yakima County County area. The Yakima Landfill is located in 7151 Roza Hill Drive, Yakima, Washington, 98901. The Yakima Landfill currently covers over 339 acres and occupies a total area of over 551 acres.
Mulch, compost/manure, and wood chips are available for Yakima Landfill’s self-hauling customers. Yakima Landfill includes furniture, appliances (less dishwasher), mattresses and box springs, carpet (must be cut 4 feet and rolled or folded), toilets, sinks, etc. as bulky waste.

To use the Yakima Landfill, you must purchase a permit. Purchasing a permit is easy. You can stop by the Yakima Landfill offices and purchase one in person or go online.
The prices for permits in Yakima Landfill are:
- 1-year landfill permit: $44.00
- Six-month landfill permit: $32.00
- The minimum charge for noncommercial loads is $5. Yakima Landfill accepts various payment modes, including cash, checks, or credit cards at the scale house, and they have a dropbox for after-hour payment.
